Podcast I love. I've listened to it twice now
i'd be suprised if you haven't gathered im a fan of 17776 yet, as it's the theme of my main page. I got really into it in the fall of 2024, and it remains near and dear to me. The series is loosely made up of 2 web articles and one novel, with 17776 being the only completed project out of the 3. 20020, the sequel for 17776 maintains it's state of being in an indefinite hiatus, likely to remain incomplete due to the current production of 50007. All three were mainly produced by Jon Bois (ex. producer for Vox Media) with assistance for formatting the web articles.
Part of the reason the series remains fairly towards the front of my mind is due to the fact I made designs for some of the characters. Personally, I'm not too into having humanoid characters for the space probes simply because I don't see why they would want to be human. I mean, you spend all your time observing them, there's not much more too it. So. Instead, I chose to design each one as a cat.

Night In The Woods is an indie game thats mostly about walking around your [Mae's] hometown. It's atmospheric, the soundtrack and artstyle is wonderful and a massive part of why I picked up the game (twice). A bare bones summary is Mae [the character you play as] has returned to her hometown of Possum Springs, attempting to feel normal again. Or as normal as high school and your friendships formed then can be. Her friends want to leave, and she wants things to stay the same, setting up a source of conflict throughout the story. I love this game [clearly] because I am a loser who loves it's friends a lot. Miss yall.
A musical project by WeevilDoing that I've been following since it first started! The 'plot' follows a group of 10 'girls' who all wind up attending the same inpatient facility, each song about a different girl and their experiences. Xiomara [Nurse Parallel] is a nurse employed there, while the rest of the cast is either voluntarily or involuntarily present. She has the most positive song, describing her overcoming difficulties not unlike the ones the rest face and having belief in them to overcome them too. My interpretation of her is that her past is kept the most vague due to her being someone the girls [and truly, the listener] should use to reflect their own experiences onto to make them believe they too can overcome them. This isn't to say that nothing is known about her, she's canonically someone with Dissociative Identity Disorder and has revisited relationships with some of the girls [namely Nora/Caliber Girl]. Despite the two of us having little alike, I can't deny that there isn't an appeal in the thought that one day I could be more like her. Nonchalant. Able to move past things.
