this is basically for any form of media i've enjoyed/have thoughts about. this isn't everything I've watched/listened/played but I hope it's entertaining or strengthens our connection across the interwebs or puts you to sleep. I'm honestly quite chill about my opinions, so don't take them all too seriously. I'll be splitting things up in some manner by the medium I think? I'll see
Recently published visual novel by artist Nopanamaman/Ferry (if you were into vocaloid a few years ago you might recognize the latter). It follows 13 yr old Asya as she copes with bullying and her world re-aligning itself. You get to (re)experience being bullied and hoping someone would save you, treading carefully in your own home, and possibly having a crush. I quite enjoy the atmosphere, the characters, the writing, the art, pretty much everything. If you have a few hours to spare, I'd say it's worth your time (& money but it's free). It's made in Ren'py, if that matters to anyone, but I find that it was well customized and felt unique despite that. The OST isn't original, but I find it fits it well nontheless. The atmosphere especially hit for me, as I've been alone at college over break. When I went outside after finishing it, it almost felt like I hadn't left, because of how empty the concrete structures around me were. I've fallen in love with the world and I will refrain from even considering to harm it and it's beautiful pattern it weaves, my transmission to the world.
MLP musician Vylet Pony dropped this album, which was my introduction to them. Since then, I've kept up with most of their releases. Regardless. I think it's fun, a lot lighter in noise and tone as Monarch of Monsters. Personal favorite is track 09. Hush. I love a bit of monologue and ideas surrounding fate (if it wasn't obvious). Also loves when a song gets loud. Vylet also always finds great artists for its projects.
